Savaya – ‘Soul Fire’ [Music Review]

Detroit native singer and songwriter Savaya, reminisces love and uncertainty in new song ‘Soul Fire’.

Born Martin Khemmoro in the suburbs of Michigan, his parents relocated from Baghdad to Motor City. At a tender age, r&b/soul music gave Martin the stimulus he needed. In the process of discovering music, Khemmoro alongside his brothers, made several bike rides and walks to some local record stores.

Savaya’s musical art derives from the frequent listens of sounds made by Babyface, Mariah Carey, Tevin Cambell, Kieth Sweat and a few others. Four months ago (in April), Martin released his debut single ‘Hear You’.

Soul Fire’, the latest release from Savaya, showcases brilliant pop elements with quality songwriting. ‘Soul Fire’ portrays affection, self goals, trust and inspirations. Track produced by Duck Leary.
