Laura Wolf shares new infectious song ‘Homebody’

Laura Wolf, a Brooklyn producer, cellist, and singer, shares her new compelling pop song ‘Homebody.’

Laura Wolf’s music uniquely mixes different genres, creating unusual chamber-pop songs with excellent sound design. Laura’s new album, ‘Shelf Life,’ shows her progress from being a classical musician to an electronic producer. Wolf recorded most of the album in 2020 utilizing her parent’s attic in New Haven. The 7-track ‘Shelf Life,’ released under Whatever’s Clever, combines different sounds like playful design, orchestral pieces, industrial samples, and intimate vocals.

In 2019, Laura had to alter her music plans. During that time, she realized she could be an independent artist who works from home. The New York native also spent much time in her makeshift recording studio, learning to use Ableton and improving her electronic music production skills.

Laura Wolf collaborates with other artists in the studio and on stage. Her pop songs include cello, synths, and programmed drums, with glitchy sounds, orchestral bits, and ethereal singing. Laura’s live shows combine traditional and modern elements to create a unique and fun experience for the ears and the eyes.

Two years after (2021), she unveiled ‘Artifacts’ with a few glitches. The intentional follow-up, ‘Shelf Life,’ released this year, went to her fans flawlessly. The project also showcased how different sounds and words can work together creatively. It combines real-life sounds and memories to make something new. Laura Wolf composed ‘Shelf Life’ to honor her grandmother and deal with genetic diseases by exploring family stories and genetic testing over the past year.

The album’s third single, ‘Homebody,’ highlights Wolf’s unique and captivating musical style. ‘Homebody’ also reflects the feeling of being trapped indoors while the world keeps spinning. In conclusion, it also embodies playful chamber pop elements, highlighting the creativity of this talented artiste.
